TMP Government Releases White Paper: How Can the Federal Government Improve Its Programs For Recruiting and Retaining Hispanic-Americans?

,

4/26/2010

Today Hispanic-Americans are the most numerous minority group in the nation, exceeding 15 percent of the population and growing at an unprecedented rate. At the same time, Latinos make up barely 8 percent of the Federal workforce. We view the Hispanic diversity challenge not merely as an agency-specific imperative, but as a mission calling on shared efforts extending across multiple agencies and Departments. The paper explores some of the factors that might be impeding the government’s progress and describes actions the government might undertake to succeed in this mission.
